Notes from the Web Missus:

Hello All!

Its been some busy times both in and out of the kitchen around our home of late!  The Chef has discovered eBay, and is heavily envolved with his auctioning of unique and collectable items.  If you too have the eBay-bug, come check us out from time to time and see what neat things we've found!   We have everything from china, glass, antiques, toys, to miscellaneous collectables, and ship worldwide.  Our User ID is "jengersnap".

Also, some have questioned where to find the archives and more recipies on our site.  Well, at the very top of the page is a link to all the past recipies for the 3 or so years we've been delivering them!   Scroll up, and browse meal ideals to your heart's content!

Hope you're having a wonderful new year!!!

INSTANT FUDGE FROSTING (Uncooked)

***********************************************************************

                   1      pound         box powdered sugar
              1/2 cup           dry cocoa
              1/4 teaspoon      salt
              1      teaspoon      vanilla
              7      tablespoons   boiling water
6      tablespoons   (3/4 stick) soft oleo

Mix powdered sugar, cocoa and salt thoroughly so no lumps can be seen.
Add vanilla and boiling water and stir until smooth. Add soft (not melted)
oleo and stir or beat until smooth or thick enough to spread.

May be thin at first but will thicken as it cools. If it gets too thick
while spreading add a few drops of hot water. Will cover two 8 or 9 inch
layers.

Sweet, Simple, and So Good!!!
Great for those wintry apples!

Serves 5-7
